As the company grew from just under $20m to over $40m, the sales team grew with it. Not only were customer needs not being met, but opportunities were being lost due to inattentiveness and management had no window to the sales funnel at any given point of time. Additionally, demand generation was a manual, fragmented group of processes that had no control or monitoring capabilities. The first step at demand generation automation and monitoring was procuring, configuring, and implementing Salesforce CRM complete with roles hierarchy, rules for stage progression, margins, approvals, mobile app access, call logging, and notifications, as well as, customized reporting on all of the above.
